Ned Folkerth
Jeff Samuel
Alan Grosvenor
Ned Folkerth (Drums / bodhran / percussion / samples / electronics) A drummer since laying down that crazy beat in the womb, Ned has played on dozens of recordings and toured throughout North America & Europe with a wide variety of groups spanning styles from art rock, spaghetti western and gothic noir to traditional roots music including Pinetop Seven, Diane Izzo, Las Toallitas, 5ive Style, and Maestrp Subgum & the Whole. He can often be heard around Portland with the urban junkyard sounds of Spigot, Mark Lemhouse’s country blues, the deep beats of Pura Vida and the Squall collective (the latter with former Gang of Four bassist Dave Allen), as well as with the moody, downtown sounds of Durango Park. He even pays tribute to the mod 60’s with sonic/sartorial revivalists, The Ladds. He has been a musician, actor, and composer in collaboration with Chicago puppeteer Blair Thomas, Brigid Murphy and Milly’s Orchid Show, Miz Kitty’s Parlour, NPR’s This America Life, Dayton Playhouse, and John Mays, choreographers Sinead Kimbrell and Emily Pitcher.
